Meet Pat

Pat began his career in corporate America, working with several FORTUNE 500® companies. Early on, he found people coming to him often for one-off answers to problems. But Pat soon realized that what his peers really needed was to learn how to dig deeper to find the long-term, sustainable, and impactful solutions they were looking for.

 

As he progressed in his career, Pat discovered that becoming an effective leader requires asking the right questions to find the best answers. He committed himself to leveraging the power of the question to strengthen leaders.

 

Pat’s curiosity and inquisitiveness has enabled him to work with companies across industries and around the globe, developing successful leaders through his coaching and consulting. He’s passionate about the ways in which developing strong leaders creates an impact that reverberates through organizations, communities, countries, and beyond.

 

Pat earned his Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Iowa State University and is a Licensed I/O Psychologist.

Pat’s work has taken him across North and South America, North Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and the Pacific Rim. As a result, he rapidly adapts to new industries and cultures. He considers different perspectives and problems across environments, cultures, traditions, and industries. Pat partners with you to approach your challenges with a perspective of curiosity versus authority.

With a Ph.D. in industrial and organizational psychology, Pat builds his coaching on evidence-based practices and the latest research. By understanding the science behind human behavior and emotion, Pat gives you insights into the complexities of leading others and driving greater results. Pat holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Iowa State University and is a Licensed I/O Psychologist in Texas (#30576) and Hawaii (PSYI-7).

Outside his corporate roles, Pat has helped local governments, schools, and community groups work more efficiently and with greater impact. For over a dozen years, he’s mentored U.S. Military veterans to ease their transition to civilian jobs. Pat has taught at Iowa State University, San Francisco State University, the University of Phoenix, and the University of Houston-Downtown.
